On Tuesday, IB Coordinator Ms. Kate Dominique (second from left) led a meeting with 1 representative from each of the content disciplines of the curriculum committee. Dr. Petrosino was also in attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to present a vertical alignment format in order to help facilitate aspects of the implementation process. Ms. Dominique learned of this framework on one of her recent IB Workshops. In addition to the vertical framework, she also introduced the group to a modified version of the basic MYP (Middle Years Program) curriculum format. The group liked it and felt it was easy to read and understand. Some modifications may be made to the new curriculum but it is not practical at this point to reformat everything. Nonetheless, the reformat will likely be part of the first iteration.
