Two councilmembers (Jabbour & Cohen) introduced a resolution on November 4, 2020 to bypass that process and give all of the PILOT proceeds to only the Hoboken Board of Education, thereby ensuring that public charter schools receive none of this funding. This motion was tabled by the City Council by a vote of 5-4.
Votes were Giattino, De Fusco, Fischer, Ramos, Falco in the majority and Jabbour, Doyle, Russo, and Cohen in the minority.
