Councilman Michael Russo, who represents Hoboken’s Third Ward and co-sponsored the resolution to end the pilot, has released a video explaining his concerns and responding to several points made by City Hall.
Regardless of where residents stand on bike lanes, parking, traffic, or street safety, Russo’s comments deserve to be heard as part of the larger community discussion.
The City describes the Grand Street project as a pilot designed to improve safety and mobility while gathering data and public feedback. At the same time, many residents and Council members have raised concerns about how the new design is working in daily life.
Good local government depends on people listening to different views, examining the facts, and participating respectfully.
